SafePackage™ Selected to Participate in U.S. Customs and Border Protection’s Trade Solutions Pilot Program

AI-Driven Compliance and Customs Clearance Platform Provo, Utah, USA - November 3, 2025

SafePackage™ is honored to announce today that, after a rigorous selection process by U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), our company has been designated as a participant in the CBP Trade Solutions Pilot Program. This initiative is part of the "Commercial Solutions Opening Pilot (CSOP)", which aims to leverage cutting-edge technology solutions to simplify trade processes, enhance security, and safeguard tariff collection. A core objective of the program is to address the challenges posed by the massive growth of cross-border e-commerce transactions with an AI-driven, highly accurate, and automated compliance and duty collection system.

Over the past decade, cross-border e-commerce has experienced explosive growth—fueled in part by the "de minimis" exemption from duty for low-value shipments ($800 or less). At the same time, this surge has created challenges in the accuracy of shipment data, compliance oversight, and duty collection. In response, private enterprises and CBP are collaborating to leverage commercial solutions that aim to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and maximize duty collection. CBP's selection of SafePackage™ will enable CBP to test and evaluate SafePackage™'s platform, which was designed to facilitate accurate duty payments while delivering greater transparency across the entire trade data chain. Through this pilot, SafePackage™'s platform will provide CBP with enhanced visibility to evaluate that import trade declarations are accurate to facilitate more efficient clearance.

SafePackage™'s technology enables CBP to access shipment data, duty payment status, and transmit relevant information before a parcel leaves its port of origin. By conducting large-scale, early-stage pre-screening, SafePackage™'s system aims to reduce the risk of non-compliant or high-risk goods entering the U.S. Early identification and prevention of intellectual property infringements, hazardous materials, and restricted items also significantly streamlines the flow of compliant goods.

SafePackage™ strives to deliver highly accurate and automated tariff classifications (HTS codes), value validation, and probable country of origin determination(s), which may significantly reduce the need for manual intervention. As part of this pilot, CBP will explore how SafePackage™'s technology can allow CBP to more effectively track shipments from origin to destination, while significantly enhancing the supply chain transparency needed for enforcement.

"We are deeply honored to partner with U.S. Customs and Border Protection on this important initiative", said John Farley, Founder and CEO of SafePackage™. "As the saying goes, 'seeing is believing.' Our technology provides unprecedented clarity in the trade process. At the same time, we encourage shippers to become more familiar with CBP's clearance requirements, so they can enjoy a smoother and more efficient customs experience. If you have any questions, we welcome you to reach out—we look forward to hearing from you."
